“Gunmount” is a term that is used to refer to small colored bars of glass that were produced for the manufacture of cathode ray tube (CRT) televisions and monitors. These bars of color were used as spacers and insulators mounted on either side of the electron gun inside the CRT assembly, hence “gunmount”. When CRT televisions stopped being made, these glass bars also fell out of production and now the only common way to find them is by breaking open old TVs. These bars are made from borosilicate glass and as a result, are compatible with modern boro. They can be found in about a dozen different colors but rarely in any large quantity.
